Vision and Values
ACHIEVE, BELIEVE, CARE
“Let us motivate one another to acts of love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24)
Our Vision
At Grange Church of England School, our vision is shaped by the rich story of Grange-over-Sands.
The trust placed in the King’s Guide to the Sands, who for centuries has led travellers safely across shifting sands, reminds us to believe — in one another, in ourselves, and in God who guides our path.
The love shown through the shelter of Hampsfell Hospice, built for the weary on the fells, inspires us to care — offering kindness, refuge, and hope to all, and reminding us that our school, too, is a place of rest, reflection, and perspective.
The hope that shines from the Clock Tower renews our strength, inspires our learning, and calls us to achieve our best. Standing watch over our town, it reminds us to pause, be still, and listen for God’s presence in the rhythm of our days, helping us to look forward with courage, joy, and faith.
Together, these stories shape who we are: a community rooted in love, hope, and trust, where everyone is unique, valued, loved, and matters to God. Guided by the words, “Let us motivate one another to acts of love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24), we seek to live out our motto — Achieve, Believe, Care — so that all may flourish and find “life in all its fullness.” (John 10:10)
Our Values
Our Christian values of love, hope, and trust underpin everything we do. We are an inclusive and nurturing community, where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to develop resilience, curiosity, respect, and compassion — for themselves, for others, and for the world around them.
We are proud of our strong links with St Paul’s Parish Church, whose members support our worship, serve as governors, and share in the life of our school. Together, we create a space where every child can grow in faith, confidence, and joy, inspired to live out our motto every day.
